Married at last!

After several postponements over the last 18 months Rachel and Mike finally got to have the wedding of their dreams last weekend!! Their marquee garden wedding was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined… I was blown away when I walked into the marquee which was through a pretty flower arch at the bottom of her parents’ garden. I think you’ll agree it was stunning!! The flowers by Marshall’s Florists in Chorley were absolutely amazing.

I joined Rachel, her parents and her bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding as they had hair and make-up in the house and prepared to leave for church. Rachel looked stunning with relaxed, classic waves and her beautiful dress from Ava Rose Hamilton. Hair with Stacey and Rebecca Carle Make-up did a fantastic job of making the girls look their best, and then it was off to St Peter’s Church in Belmont for the ceremony.

After a beautiful ceremony we took some photos and had a great fun confetti tunnel down the windy hill from church, all with the backdrop of blue skies and sunshine. The bride and groom then drove away in a vintage, red sports car and made their way back home and to the marquee.

The Reception

We went for a quick stroll around the garden and took some portraits under the blossom tree, and also made time for some family photos too, before everyone was seated at their tables in time for the wedding breakfast. The speeches were absolutely hilarious and so much fun to photograph, with lots of giggles from all the guests. We ended the day with a a few quick photos at sunset before they cut their Sugar Wishes cake and I left them all dancing the night away to Wedding Jam.

With thanks to Donna from Pure Elegance events who made the day run so smoothly and looked after me along with the Karen Rhodes catering team. It was great to work with such a great group of wedding suppliers. Here’s a quick preview, with more coming soon!
