A Hereford Tipi Wedding at Home
This was my first real tipi wedding.. and what a day! Caroline and Steve live in a beautiful barn conversion on the edge of Hereford, and luckily their neighbour was happy for them to put a Tipi up in the field next door! It looked fabulous and they’d decorated it with the most beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets in pinks and pastels.
Caroline, and both her and Steve’s daughter’s, got ready at home in the morning, where they had hair and make-up and opened up the champagne.
A Ceremony At St Michael’s in Breinton
The church was so beautiful and peaceful! Hidden down a quiet country lane just outside Hereford and surrounded by fields of long grass. The ceremony was very sweet and they were joined by their closest family including all of their children who were bridesmaids and groomsmen.
After walking down the aisle as a married couple and making their way into the churchyard we then took photographs with the family under the lychgate and they spent time greeting and mingling with their guests. The sun was shining so it was lovely to take a couple of minutes out and wander into the field for some portraits, the first images of them as husband and wife.
Wedding Breakfast in the field
From the church we then nipped around the corner to the field adjoining the couple’s house, where guests enjoyed drinks and canapes whilst they relaxed on picnic benches both inside and around the tipi. After some delicious food we then listened to wonderful speeches raising a toast here and there. They performed their first dance to the live band under the fairy lights, which brought tears of both joy and laughter for their friends and family.
Here’s my favourite photographs from their special day. I particularly enjoyed following the children as they played during the meal, and capturing them having fun on the benches..
Huge thanks to Caroline & Steve for choosing me as photographer for their Hereford Tipi Wedding .. The whole day was full of joy!
