On Tuesday I spent the afternoon in Ambleside, in the Lake District, for Sam and Dan’s beautiful Cote How wedding. Their day was understated, intimate and absolutely perfect! Cote How is such a wonderful little gem in the most stunning spot, hidden away from sight and right on the edge of Rydal Water.

Sam and Dan had their ceremony just outside the rustic barn with just 15 guests all together, including the couple themselves. I loved the confetti throw as they made their way back down the aisle as Mr and Mrs! They then enjoyed some delicious canapés and drinks on the terrace before we made our way through the gate for a little wander to the lake. How amazing to have these views literally on your doorstep!

After relaxing with their guests and plenty of time for photos they then took their seats in the barn, where they enjoyed a few speeches and toasts before being served their wedding breakfast.

I absolutely loved this super-relaxed day and feel lucky to have been part of such an intimate celebration… Thanks so much to Sam and Dan and also to Caroline and the team at Cote How, who were excellent hosts.

Here’s a little preview for the bride and groom..
