The weather on Saturday was absolutely glorious!!! It was just what Jen and Marc had been dreaming of for their Eden Barn wedding and really made the day that all their guests could enjoy the sunshine at this gorgeous venue.
Jen got ready at Brownber House, just down the road from Kirkby Stephen, where they had their ceremony at the Parish Church. The vibe was very relaxed as I arrived, with hair and make-up under way and a bottle of bubbly just about to be popped! After Jen had put on her beautifully classic dress with her mum on hand to help, I whizzed off to meet Marc at church. The ceremony was brilliant, they had a hilarious Vicar who really made everyone giggle! Then followed mingling on the church lawn before being waved off as they left for Eden Barn. We had a little stop off for a photo or two on the way up before reaching the venue for drinks and canapés. The confetti throw was epic with more confetti than ever! So much fun!
Inside the barn the setup was so pretty! Lots of twinkling lights and rustic decor, it looked fabulous! They had their speeches first, which were really unique and caused lots of laughter and a few tears too. Jen’s dad had written a song and performed it with his guitar too, it was so lovely.
After a delicious meal everyone returned outside for more drinks on the lawn and lots of chilling out in the sunshine…. the light was so dreamy!! I stole Jen and Marc away for five minute for a wander into the field and a few more photos, before it was time for dancing back in the barn. They had a Ceilidh which was, so, so, funny to watch. I love the chaos of a ceilidh at a wedding with guests who have been drinking all day 🙂
