Keira and Kieran’s Abbeywood Estate wedding took place this weekend and what an amazing day it was! Like many other couples this year they’ve had to postpone their date many times, so it was just lovely to finally see them tie the knot with the day of their dreams. Abbeywood Estate has to be one of my new favourite wedding venues!!! What a gorgeous place it is and, in terms of photography, just so full of light so a dream to work with.
I spent the morning with Keira and her bridesmaids and my amazing second shooter, Charlotte, joined Kieran and the boys as they got ready. I’m so glad there were two of us as we really got to capture every angle of this beautiful day. The bridal prep room above the little coach house at Abbeywood is, again, so light and airy and the perfect backdrop for getting dressed. Keira wore gypsophila and forget me nots in her hair in memory of her mum who very sadly passed away recently.
They had an outdoor ceremony on the lawn which was so, so beautiful. The views all around were just stunning and it was so lovely to have such a lot of space. They wrote their own vows and had a seat reserved for Keira’s mum, and their grandads too.
After the ceremony guests threw confetti and we took photographs on the lawn and also around the gardens. We could have spent all afternoon wandering around the gardens taking photos… so much variety and lovely colours! After some drinks and mingling they then were all seated in the glass house for their wedding breakfast, and shortly after, speeches! Very funny speeches and lots of giggles from the guests.
At dusk they lit sparklers on the terrace before cutting the cake and starting the party with their first dance.
An amazing day!! Here’s a few of my favourites and don’t forget to check out their suppliers…
