Yesterday’s wedding at Thornton Hall Country Park with Amy and Tim was out of this world. I honestly have so much fun at every wedding I go to but over the years I’ve had just a few absolute career highlights… and yesterday was one of those. In particular, meeting Bruce the stag and getting the most amazing bride and groom portraits with the country park backdrop. We went off riding over the hills in a truck for a little ‘English safari’… deer, cows, sheep, bulls.. it was hilarious!

The day started with bridal prep and the brilliant team of Make-Up by Frankie and Steanne Hair... who helped the girls look their absolute beautiful best. Amy’s classic style was timeless and perfect, so elegant with her Stella York dress which even had pockets. And we all love a dress with pockets, right?

Their ceremony was at St Martin’s Church in Castleton Moor, where Tim was waiting nervously with his brother. I loved their choice of hymns (same as we had for our wedding!) and we did a great fun confetti throw down the steps.

After a quick ride in a VW transporter we arrived at Thornton Hall Country Park, where guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in their brand new bar. Such a great setting with outdoor terrace and views for days. Once the bride and groom had settled in and had a quick glass of fizz we were whisked off in a little truck and taken for our tour of the hills. It was SO much fun seeing all the animals and doing some ‘off roading’ around the fields!

We made it back just in time to sit down for the wedding breakfast, which started with some delicious looking grazing boards by Baba Ganoush Caterers amongst Natasha Coustol’s floral centrepieces. Then followed speeches and, later, some great dancing to the sound of the band, The Wrecks.

Here’s their preview..
