On Sunday I joined Natalie and Sam for their beautiful Lake District Wedding at Fairbank Wedding Barn in Staveley. I’d never been there before but it was so, so beautiful and the bride and groom and all their friends and family were so much fun, I had an absolute blast!!
Natalie and her parents and bridesmaids were getting ready in the farmhouse which was really lovely, with lots of space and light. The couple have two gorgeous Daschunds, Colin and Midnight, who were super cute watching the girls have hair and make-up done. Natalie looked absolutely stunning and, after having a little emotional moment with her dad, also set the girls off when they came in to see her.
Sam was nervously waiting in the cowshed ceremony barn and greeting guests to the sound of the Elysia String Quartet. The ceremony was so pretty with the backdrop of the fairy lights and this gorgeous smiley couple. After they were married we all dodged the rain and had drinks and canapés under the shelter, followed by one of the most colourful confetti throws I’ve seen. Great fun!
Just before they all sat down to eat we were kindly chauffeured through the fields and up the hills to get some portraits by the tarn… what incredible views!!! I’m so glad we grabbed the chance whilst we could! Then it was back inside and in the warmth again for speeches, Pieminster Pies and onto some epic dancing.
Here’s Natalie and Sam’s preview with a few of my favourites from this fabulous day…. more coming soon!
