Humaa and Imran had a wonderful Muslim wedding at The Mere Resort near Knutsford. This was something quite different for me and I absolutely loved being immersed in a culture so different to my own. I loved the buzz and excitement of the whole day, the amazing colours and all the little traditions which created so much emotion amongst this gorgeous pair and their guests.
Humaa had a stunning ivory dress and dupatta for the ceremony in the morning whilst Imran looked super smart in his suit. It was a traditional ceremony conducted with the groom and father of the bride, before Humaa entered to be congratulated by their guests and celebrate. They had drinks and the most delicious Indian canapes and we then escaped on the golf buggy for a few quick portraits of the couple on their own. They both then took a little time out in the afternoon to change into their traditional outfits which were so striking with reds and golds and an array of elegant jewellery. Humaa’s beautiful hair and make-up was by Rebecca Anderton, who was lovely to work with and did a fantastic job.
The Mere was decorated with pretty pink details, hints of copper sparkle and plenty of candles for their relaxed reception, where they had speeches up on stage and some fun traditional exchanges and banter. They had a delicious fruit creation by Fruit Frenzi and photobooth by Apnabeat Entertainment.
Here are some highlights which I loved capturing..
With thanks to Humaa and Imran for trusting me completely to capture their day 🙂
I loved it!
