A wedding at Rushton Hall in Kettering
Jessica and Ryan held their wedding day at Rushton Hall, one of the most luxurious hotels in Northamptonshire. It is a truly stunning wedding venue and I loved photographing there for the day! They had their ceremony in the beautiful and light drawing room, followed by a drinks reception in the courtyard, where guests threw confetti and enjoyed congratulating the newly married bride and groom. We then had plenty of time to explore the grounds in the sunshine.. they made a beautiful backdrop for our photographs of the couple, before enjoying the wedding breakfast in the Pavillion.
Pretty Pastel Colours
The couple chose pretty, pale, pastel colours to tie in all the details and create an elegant theme. Their bridesmaids looked wonderful in pale grey, complimented by the soft pinks in the bouquets. Jessica’s dress, the groomsmen’s suits and the bridesmaid’s dresses were all from Vow Bridal Gallery.. Jessica’s dress was a beautiful lace gown, which she wore with a unique back necklace.
Children and Family Orientated
There were so many little people at this wedding! I love photographing children at weddings, they are just having the time of their lives, all dressed up with plenty of time to play. Jessica and Ryan’s little boy, Oscar, was just gorgeous!! He made the best pageboy in his smart little suit and pumps. He particularly enjoyed the garden games that the couple had left for the guests to enjoy.
Interesting Light
It was such a sunny and lovely wedding day! Full, bright sunlight can be quite a challenge when photographing a wedding, but I always really enjoy it and like to embrace it by shooting into the light. As usual I shot some of this wedding on traditional analogue film, but mostly with my digital camera and prime lenses. The harsh light created some really interesting shadows and added some drama to this already very impressive venue.
I hope you enjoy having a little look at their wedding photographs..
