Harriet and Chris’ marquee wedding in North Yorkshire yesterday was such a pretty and quintessentially English affair. They were married in church in the beautiful village of Crayke, where Harriet grew up, which boasts views across the green and lush Yorkshire countryside across to York. It was a magnificent sight as we came out of the ceremony and the perfect spot for photos.
After the ceremony guests walked down the hill and through the village to the sports club where the spectacular marquee was sitting in the sunshine on the cricket pitch. They enjoyed garden games and drinks and canapés on the field. The flowers and details all looked stunning, with an amazing ivy hoop suspended in the roof of the marquee, and lots of pretty lanterns which lit up the paths at sunset.
There were a few showers here and there but the sunlight streaming through the marquee windows during the speeches was just magical! It gave the evening such a relaxed glow and a lovely atmosphere as guests relaxed and sipped champagne.
I also loved that some of the guests set up a scoring system for the speeches! very funny!!
Here’s Harriet and Chris’ day…. enjoy!
