Jaqueline and Josh got married on Saturday and had the most beautiful Trough of Bowland elopement with a first look down by the river followed by private vows under the trees. It was just the most stunning setting and so, so romantic! The weather forecast didn’t put them off and we embraced the rain using umbrellas and the shelter of the woods.

I met Jaqueline at home in Lancaster to photograph her and her family and bridesmaid, Tia, getting ready. We then drove out to the Trough of Bowland to find the couple’s favourite spot down by the river, where Josh was waiting. They had a first look which was so lovely… the moment Josh turned around and saw her for the first time was so special and certainly emotional! They had prepared hand written vows to read to each other privately.. it was so romantic in this quiet, secluded spot with only the sheep as congregation!

Then followed a short drive back to Lancaster to meet their closest family for a short and sweet official ceremony at Georgian House, Lancaster Registry office. The registrars were brilliant and it still felt lovely whilst also super safe and following the current pandemic restrictions. It was just so good to be photographing a wedding again and seeing these two get married!

After the official ceremony the ten of us then made our way over to Williamson Park for some portraits and family photos at Ashton Memorial, which is one of my favourite venues for photos.

Jaqueline looked absolutely out of this world! Her Bridal Collection Maggie Sottero dress and veil blowing in the wind and her beautiful loose curls and make up by Gabriella Zilelidou and flowers by Lune Valley. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph the whole day!

Here’s a quick preview for now….
