Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Sophie and Ian’s small wedding at Colshaw Hall in Cheshire. It felt so lovely to back photographing an actual wedding!! They had been hanging on and keeping everything crossed that it would be able to go ahead, and after a change of date and several changes in rules and restrictions on what they’d be allowed to actually do, they finally did it yesterday!!! I’m so happy for them that they got to have such a wonderful day.
The current restrictions meant that they were allowed to have a ceremony of up to 30 people and also a reception afterwards, so although it was smaller than they’d planned it was still a full day of fun. The flowers by Eclipse Florals were beautiful and the ceremony hall actually looked so elegant with the chairs all socially distanced! It was also great to work with make up artist Jenni Ward and Hair by Laura M, fabulous cake makers Mol Lol Creations, not to mention Liverpool Bridal Boutique, Attire Menswear and Colshaw Hall’s amazing staff and master of ceremonies, Ian.
The dressing room where Sophie and her bridesmaids got ready was absolutely stunning with such beautiful light and decor, I loved it! It rained a little in the afternoon but they managed to get the garden games out just for a few minutes to keep the kids entertained… they were all so cute!
Thanks so much to the bride and groom, Sophie and Ian, for having me and to everyone else who made this gorgeous, intimate wedding possible. Here’s a few highlights and some of my favourite shots from the day…
