This Tros Yr Afon Wedding in Anglesey belongs to my brilliant and creative friends Jo and Lewis. They were looking for a venue where they could spend the whole weekend with family and friends, and really inject their own personalities into the decorations, and quickly settled on Tros Yr Afon near Beaumaris.
This is SUCH a beautiful venue!! The house itself was perfect for everyone to spend the whole weekend, with a lovely big room for Jo and the bridesmaids to get ready in. Not forgetting their gorgeous little Arlo, who was just 8 weeks old and so quiet and content all day! The ceremony was held outdoors with an amazing flower arch by Petals Florist as the centrepiece. One of Jo’s bridesmaids, Reshmi, took the ceremony itself which was just lovely, with just a few moments afterwards spent signing the register indoors. One of my favourite moments, both on the day and also whilst sat at my computer processing the images, was the look on Lewis’ face as Jo and her dad reached the top of the aisle. You can just feel the emotion looking at him!
Towards the end of the ceremony it began to rain, but guests weren’t bothered in the slightest and sat under their umbrellas happily. After the newly married couple emerged from signing the register we did a brilliant confetti throw and then followed them through to the courtyard for beers and mingling. It was so relaxed and with a backdrop of sunshine and palm trees it felt like we could have been abroad.
After some relaxing and a few photos we escaped to the beach, just 5 minutes down the road, for a few pictures of the two of them alone. Anglesey is such a stunning place, I can see why they love it there and I’ll definitely be returning with the family 🙂
It was then time to head in to the Tipi, which they had decorated amazingly! So much colour and such a relaxed vibe with music playing and long table layouts.. Guests were given sticks of Blackpool Rock! (Where Jo is from… She and I studied together on the Photography Degree course at Blackpool). We enjoyed delicious street food served to the tables, followed by wedding cake for pudding which was made by Jo (all this with an 8 week old baby!!! I really don’t know how she did it!).
Dancing in the evening was so much fun.. everyone just had the best time!
