Yesterday, after a lot of uncertainty with all of new rule changes, I finally got to join Lisa and Tom for their Micro Wedding at Brockholes Nature Reserve. I’m absolutely over the moon that they managed to marry and celebrate with their party of 30, just before the new restrictions came in.
It was absolutely wonderful… I have to say Brockholes were excellent and the whole day felt totally safe, well spaced and also super relaxed and fun. They got the balance just right. It’s really restored my faith that weddings can continue in a safe way and fills me with hope that more couples will go ahead with a small but perfectly formed wedding. I think you can have a super stylish, intimate and romantic day which is just as lovely with only a handful of guests as it would be with a hundred!
Anyway, Lisa looked absolutely amazing with her boho waves and pretty flower crown.. and the lace of her wedding dress was so beautiful! They hired a classic VW camper which looked fab with the sun shining through the tree and was a great backdrop for photos. Their guests were all seated with their own household bubbles, served mini champagne bottles and they ate fish and chips! It was so unique and I’m sure a wedding that everyone will remember.
I loved being back at Brockholes to shoot a wedding.. it’s such a great venue and a real blank canvas to create a stylish day with the most gorgeous views across the lakes. It looked especially twinkly with that September sun shining all day, we were very lucky!
It was great to work with some amazingly talented suppliers too…

Hi,
We’ve booked our wedding for 2nd June at Brockholes. Your photos on the Brockholes website are absolutely beautiful. The colour and choice of pictures is so much more beautiful than the other albums!
We’re having a small wedding – about 20 adults and 5 children.
We’re looking for a photographer to capture some photos of the ceremony, some couple photos taken around the reserve and a some at the afternoon tea. It would be great to get some of the children feeding the ducks too ????
We are not looking to get any formal group shots.
Do you have availability?
