Thank you for your enquiry! It would be an honour to capture your family! This guide is meant to help you with any questions that you might have and give you an idea of what you can expect if you choose to book a shoot with me.
I’ve been a photographer for 15 years and have two girls of my own so am used to working with little ones, going with the flow and getting the best out of your session. I can’t wait to see what we can create!

Family and toddler sessions
I like to capture things as they happen, in a relaxed and unobtrusive way rather than directing too much. I find that letting children play and explore freely with the occasional prompt creates much more natural and memorable images than putting them in an uncomfortable pose. I can either come to you or we can meet at the park or beach, or somewhere special to you as a family. Guiding the little ones here and there means we get the beautiful backdrop you’ll love but they won’t be forced to sit still or do anything they aren’t comfortable with.
Newborn and baby sessions
For newborn babies it’s best for me to visit you at home within the first couple of weeks so that you’re all warm, comfy and baby feels relaxed. This also means we can capture some extra little things like nursery decor or special blankets or toys which will create beautiful memories when you look back on the images in years to come.
PRICING
All collections are based on a session of approximately one hour and include travel throughout Lancashire. After your session you will receive your images in a beautiful online gallery, where you’ll have the option to buy prints, frames, albums and lots of other extras, but with no pressure at all.
Newborn sessions tend to take a little longer if baby needs feeding or comforting, so don’t worry if we run over time, I’m happy to be flexible.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF OUR OUTDOOR SHOOT?
We can have a wet weather plan just in case, but if it’s torrential, or if ill-health means you can’t make it, we can always reschedule for another date. The session fee is not refundable in the case of a cancellation, but rescheduling is not a problem!
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes! I have public liability, professional indemnity, and equipment insurance just in case anything happens to my kit.
DO YOU HAVE BACK-UP CAMERAS?
Yes. I always bring back up equipment to every shoot in case something goes wrong.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
You will receive the link to view your slideshow and the full set of images in your online gallery within 3 weeks of the session. If you are on social media, and happy to share a few photos this way, I can post a preview a couple of days after the session.
ARE WE ALLOWED TO PRINT AND USE THE PHOTOS WE DOWNLOAD?
Yes! As long as you don’t use the images for financial gain you can pretty much do as you like with them! They will be high resolution and won’t have any watermark logos across them, so you’ll be able to print them, hang on your walls or share with friends.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?
This can vary depending on the type of shoot you book and what we choose to do within the session time. For a typical one to two hour session booked with package two (a full set of downloads) you should expect at least 40 images and often more.
HOW CAN WE BOOK YOU?
If you think you might like to go ahead and book me to photograph your family, just pop me an email and I can send over a booking form for you, with details of how to pay the £50 deposit.
WHEN IS THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE?
The remainder of the payment will be due by the date of the shoot. I usually send a reminder out a few weeks before so we can finalise the details too.
