A Rivington Barn wedding is my favourite kind of wedding 🙂 It’s where we had our wedding 8 years ago (woah!) so it feels super special whenever I get to go back.
Rosie and Michael’s day was beautiful and also so much fun from start to finish! This was to be expected really… I photographed her sister Jennie’s wedding a few years ago at their family run cafe and venue Spring Cottage, and have seen them several times since then … so I’ve got to know the family well and knew there would be plenty of hilarity in store!
I met Rosie at Jennie’s cottage in Rivington where they were all getting ready on the morning of the wedding, along with videographer Jodie Canwell. We then walked it up to the village church where they had a lovely ceremony, followed by mingling in the grounds of the church and a brilliant confetti throw.
We then headed up to the barn which was decorated amazingly as always, this time including some fab light up letters from The Word Is Love and a jaw dropping cake by Finch Bakery. The speeches by Rosie’s brother Joe, Groom Michael and his dad, Alan, were so funny. We were entertained by wedding singer Wayne Farrow, who performed whilst the guests had drinks and canapes on the terrace, then again during the meal. He was brilliant and everyone had a complete blast. I love the photos of everyone singing and waving their arms in the air!
In the evening Rosie had booked The Natterjacks as a surprise for Michael and, once again, they were fantastic. The dancefloor was full!
Here’s a few of my favourites from the day…
