Sunita and John’s Eccleston Village Hall surprise wedding was a fantastic celebration with a difference! The guests had no idea where they were going!! It was Sunita’s 50th birthday and they had invited everyone to her birthday party, surprising them a couple of days before the event by announcing that they would be getting married! But that was all they knew.. the time and venue of the ceremony. The rest was a complete surprise! What then unfolded was an emotional, joyous and fabulously memorable day.
After the beautiful ceremony at Chester Town Hall the couple, along with their four children, led all of their guests on a walk through the city centre, along the city wall and down to the river, where they boarded The Princess Diana boat. They then had a champagne reception whilst enjoying a leisurely sail down the river, all the way to Eccleston where they then walked up between the fields to Eccleston Village Hall. They had decorated the hall in amazing hand-picked flowers and pretty candles, and had long trestle tables running the length of the hall. It was breathtaking and such a wonderful surprise for everyone!
After a few photos, some drinks and canapes, Sunita and John then played with their folk band! This was one of the most memorable moments of this year for me.. everyone was enthralled and there was so much dancing, singing and plenty of tears. Their closest friends and family who’ve been with them for the 25 years they’ve been together.. their four children who were a credit to them.. and so many happy faces.Â
I really did love every minute of this special day…
It was such an honour to photograph this special day, and I love Eccleston Village Hall as a wedding venue for a relaxed and home-made wedding
