Emma and Steve’s Dunham Massey Village Hall wedding was an explosion of colour! Emma is amazingly creative and designed and handmade pretty much every aspect of their day. I knew I was going to love it as soon as they booked and she told me all about her plans for the day.
They were married at Altrincham Town Hall, where a vintage double decker bus dropped off their guests just before the ceremony. After the lovely, intimate ceremony they mingled with their guests whilst having drinks in the town hall itself, and then it was all aboard the bus again to head off to Dunham Massey.
Their reception at the village hall was completely relaxed and everyone was so chilled. Emma and Steve spent time chatting to all their guests whilst they enjoyed drinks from their homemade ‘Taylor’s Bar’. The hall was decorated with metres and metres of festoon lighting, hundreds of glass bottles which they’d collected to hold bright and beautiful flowers, and lots of creative decorations incorporating Emma’s designs. I loved the bees (very apt for their Manchester wedding) and also the vintage bike with colourful bunting. Emma’s colourful bouquet was by the amazing Green Earth Flowers
After an impressive confetti throw and a short but sweet welcome speech from Steve, guests were seated inside. It wasn’t long though before it emerged that there was going to be a game of rounders on the field, and nearly everyone joined in! I left them to it as they were finishing off their game and let them party into the evening.
