Beeston Manor Wedding Photography
A church wedding
Nicole and Chris are the most laid-back, fun and lovely couple you could ever meet. They were married at St Andrews Church in Longton, near Preston, and had their wedding breakfast and celebrations at Beeston Manor. This is such a great countryside venue, with views across the fields of Lancashire and lots of scope to decorate with your own handmade or hand-sourced details.
Bridal Preparations
Nicole and her bridesmaids and family got ready at her sister Jenny’s house.. Jenny is a good friend of mine so it was lovely to spend the morning there and see their family. Nicole’s nephews made the most gorgeous pageboys, and the bridesmaids looked stunning in lilac ‘For Her And For Him’ dresses. Their bouquets were by Garlands Florist in Standish and Nicole’s absolutely beautiful dress was from Enchanted Brides in Lostock Hall. They were transported to church in a fab VW camper, where we dodged the rain showers with umbrellas. Thankfully, after the ceremony, the rain had eased and the sun came out so guests could go crazy with the confetti!
A country manor celebration
We then all travelled across Preston to Beeston Manor, where guests were greeted with drinks and canapes whilst we took a few minutes out to capture some relaxed photos of the bride and groom. I shot most of this wedding on my digital camera and, as usual, also shot some medium format film too. We found some great little locations in the gardens and around the venue for photography with Nicole and Chris.
Nicole had alot of Spanish family who travelled over especially for the wedding, so they had lots of little Spanish hints throughout the day. A traditional Spanish guitarist played beautiful music which really created a great atmosphere.. and Chris actually did part of his speech in Spanish! It was very impressive!
I’d also like to thank my friend Charlotte Palazzo, who did a fantastic job of second shooting on the day. She spent the morning with a very nervous Chris and his groomsmen, and was my second set of eyes for the rest of the day. It was lovely to work alongside her!
Here are my favourite photographs from this relaxed day …
