A Small Wedding in the Lake District
Millie and Phil were supposed to get married at the end of June but thanks to the Covid pandemic their wedding had to be postponed. They were really holding out to be able to get married one way or another… and when the government announced that small ceremonies were permitted, they booked in straight away! So, yesterday, they had the most wonderful, romantic and beautiful small wedding in the Lake District.
The couple were married at The Gaddum, at Brockhole on Windermere, which is an amazing venue. Their short but sweet, socially distanced ceremony took place in the orangery… This room took my breath away! So pretty! With just immediate family present it was a perfect celebration and will be so memorable for me. I also loved Millie’s beautiful, backless dress and the bouquet and cake which had gorgeous, pink velvet ribbons.
After the ceremony we took a little trip down to the edge of Lake Windermere where they had a few minutes to soak up the views. It was a wet and rainy day but the lakes just have such an eerie beauty with that hazy mist. It was truly stunning.
This long awaited day went perfectly and really confirmed for me that love really does win.
Here’s some of their images…
I’m so happy to finally be able to say Congratulations Millie and Phil! You did it!!!
Yesterday restored my faith in weddings after a few doubtful months of Lockdown. Fingers crossed more will be able to go ahead now.
