Liz and Tom had a relaxed garden wedding at home in Ely, Cambridgeshire. It has to be the most relaxed wedding I have ever been to… imagine having just 15 of your closest friends and family and celebrating with afternoon tea in your own garden!! It was completely delightful and totally low key, just how they wanted it.
Don’t even get me started on Liz’s Jitka Made to Measure dress!.. the BEAUTIFUL little multicoloured flowers complimented her pink hair perfectly.
She got ready at home amongst the chaos of garden party prep and was actually ready early, with enough time to sit and take it all in for a few minutes. I loved how super-proud her dad, John, was. They then went over to Ely registry office which was lovely, where they had an intimate ceremony and we enjoyed confetti in the sunshine on the terrace. Being in Ely, we absolutely made the most of the stunning backdrop of Ely Cathedral… wow!! Walking through the streets with locals congratulating them as we passed was so much fun and felt really special.
After a quick stop at the cathedral we went back to their house, where it was all hands on deck to get the afternoon tea ready and served in the garden. Liz had done alot of the baking herself! The garden looked so pretty and came alive with hilarious games and even sack races later in the evening. It was SO much fun!!
